Question 1

How does Captos turn a video into shorts?

Accepted Answer

Our multimodal architecture breaks your video into every element it can sense — speech, on-screen text, faces, scene changes, music, and motion. Separate models then score each segment for retention, emotion, and punchiness, and we fuse those signals to surface the single best hook for every clip.

Question 2

Which formats can I export?

Accepted Answer

We generate vertical 9:16 shorts, Reels, and TikToks. Pro plans unlock 4K rendering and Smart Reframing to keep the subject perfectly centered.

Question 3

Do I need to edit anything myself?

Accepted Answer

Not really. Captions, framing, and styling are applied automatically, but you can tweak any clip before exporting. Most creators go from upload to publish in minutes.

Question 4

What happens to my unused minutes?

Accepted Answer

Minutes reset at the start of each billing cycle and don't carry over. Upgrade anytime for more processing minutes.

Question 5

Is there a free plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes — every account starts free with 30 minutes of video per month, no credit card required. You only pay when you need more scale or 4K exports.

Question 6

Can I cancel anytime?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Cancel from your account settings whenever you like; you keep access until the end of the current billing period.
